Introduction

The main objective of the park development in the Patna is to increase the green cover in this highly polluted city so as to check the adverse effects of different kinds of pollution, to provide a recreational venue for the visitors to spend their leisure time.

Taking the cognizance of appreciable work done by the Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department in the development and maintenance of Rajdhani vatica (Eco Park) in the year 2015, a policy decision was taken in a meeting headed by the Chief Secretary, Bihar that all the parks are to be handed over to the Environment, Forest and Climate change Department for their development, Up-gradation, maintenance and management.

In the first phase, total 70 Parks including 6 Big parks and 64 Smaller parks were transferred to the Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department for its development, up gradation, maintenance and management.
